The atmosphere was okay.
There was a large table of customers.
It was quite reverberant due to the acoustics.
But that is a snapshot of course.
Lovely local restaurant with a somewhat retro design.
We visited on a Monday. With our very limited French and a help of Google translate, we managed to understand each other with our server who was a very friendly lady (even warned her about my dairy allergy). We all had great meals and enjoyed our evening.
In season (from June to December), the best mussels and fries in Chinon for a reasonable price (€21 including beer and coffee). With the smile of the owner.
Great discovery on the way back; small country restaurant where we still know how to make good food the way we like it. The owners are welcoming and attentive, thank you for this good meal. Go there you won't be disappointed
