Le Millénaire sur Reims

5 stars for this 1-star restaurant! As lovers of fine cuisine, we were delighted to discover this gem! The finesse and boldness in the composition of the dishes are surprising at first glance, but they deliver immense pleasure on the palate. There wasn't a single misstep on the 5-course menu, and a special mention goes to the cheese platter, which was truly exceptional. It was impossible to resist its presentation. We had a very pleasant experience, thanks also to the entire front-of-house team (a warm welcome and service that was pleasant without being overbearing, always perfectly pitched). We will definitely return to share this restaurant with others. Bravo to the chefs and all the staff! Thank you also to the sommelier for the excellent recommendation of a Blanc de Blancs (I've included the reference in the photo).

Phenomenal food and service. Every dish was perfect, the sommelier was incredibly helpful, and the environment felt really nice and relaxed. A must visit if you’re in Reims.

We had a lovely time, the food was fresh and nicely proportioned and the wine pairings were just fabulous. We had two people with dietary restrictions, which were accommodated very easily. The sommelier was very knowledgeable and introduced us to many new and interesting wines we loved. Taking our time, entire dinner lasted 4 hours.

Following our first experience on March 18th for my wife's birthday, We wanted to share this moment with our two daughters, aged 20 and 23, who have sensitive palates and one is gluten allergic. A truly wonderful culinary experience: the restaurant is elegant. Refined and delicious gourmet dishes, served on very chic tableware. The waitstaff is very professional and attentive. An evening that lived up to the establishment's reputation.

I'll start with the negative. We were disappointed by one of the wines offered as part of the food and wine pairing. For this type of establishment, it would have been appreciated if the staff had shown some concern, perhaps even suggesting an alternative wine that we hadn't seen and which was charged at a high price. Instead, we felt the sommelier was judgmental, which is not the level of service expected of a Michelin-starred restaurant. For everything else, the appetizers and main courses were delicious. Surprises and delights were definitely present. It's a shame about this one sour note, which will lead us to choose another restaurant on our next visit to Reims.

Perfect: the welcome, the service, the atmosphere, and dishes brimming with emotion. Onward to a second star!
