Le Mogador sur Royan

This time, the service was a little disrupted and the wait longer. No complaints about the couscous or tagines (although they were a bit lukewarm). Special mention for the dessert: pistachio dome and Amarena cherries. We'll be back.

We ate overlooking the harbor, a superb view for a lovely evening. The meal was delicious and generous. After a smooth and velvety homemade fish soup, I had the beef steak with its cognac sauce. The steak was tender and the sauce excellent. The staff were competent, professional, and friendly. I highly recommend it.

Fantastic lunch for our 14th birthdays. My wife was determined to try the fish soup, and it was a real success. I wholeheartedly recommend Le Mogador; the food is excellent. A huge bonus for Émilie, who was so welcoming and attentive.

The food was good quality and the service friendly, but the portions weren't generous enough. The service was rather slow; the glasses weren't filled beforehand, and the waiter only brought us three out of four glasses.

A very pleasant and friendly place. I ate a seafood tagine which was simply exquisite.

The owner and the servers are very friendly, which made the experience very pleasant. It's precisely because the service was excellent that I'm taking the liberty of providing this constructive feedback on our experience, hoping it will be helpful. We ordered the seafood platter for €50. Unfortunately, we were disappointed by the overall quality: The crab: It had a strong ammonia smell. We mentioned this, and your server, who was very responsive and professional, immediately replaced it. The freshness: Apart from the oysters, which were excellent, the rest of the platter seemed to be frozen. At this price (€50), one expects fresh products or, failing that, for the origin to be specified with a more reasonable price. Finally, regarding the ambiance, we felt the restaurant could use a little updating. Between the temperamental door, the leaks in the ceiling, and the prominent cobwebs on the chandeliers, the atmosphere seemed somewhat neglected, which is a shame given your kindness. We wish you continued success and hope these comments will help you restore your establishment to its full potential.

I came for the "classic" menu, but I was lucky enough to discover couscous and tagines on the menu: delicious! Plus, a warm welcome from the owner and a friendly waiter 👌

First time, excellent evening. The fish soup, the tagine, and the dessert were all perfect... highly recommended. Not forgetting the friendliness of the staff. We will return on our next stay in Royan.
