For a family meal, we chose the game menu: the meal was excellent, hearty, and homemade. The servers were friendly and the dining room was pleasant.

A simple but very clean hotel, excellent and generous cuisine, a very pleasant welcome, and smiling staff. The hotel is well located, very easy to park, and the balcony has a lovely view of the mountains. What more could you ask for?

One-night stay. Top-notch hotel and restaurant!!!! Rated 1 star, but it's well worth several!!! Very pleasant and family-friendly staff, top-notch bedding, truly delicious restaurant and very pleasant service. I highly and sincerely recommend it. I found a place to spend a pleasant time in the heart of Abondance for a short stay in the heart of nature. Thanks again to the owner and her family for this warm welcome

Half-board evening meal with a choice of most dishes from the menu! A clean room, quiet even if the decor is a little dated! A gargantuan breakfast! In short, beyond expectations, top.

Refuge des Tinderets

13/08/2024: Au hasard d’une randonnée autour du lac des plagnes, nous avons poursuivi notre marche jusqu’à ce refuge pour y faire une pause déjeuner (nous n’avions pas réservé et heureusement qu’il restait encore des places, si vous prévoyez de vous arrêter, pensez à réserver). Quelle vue ! Et pour ne rien gâcher l’accueil a été très agréable. Une bonne salade des tinderets, une succulente tartelette aux myrtilles et un café et hop voici le moment de repartir non sans cette sensation d’avoir passé un superbe moment.

Les Touristes

28/08/2024: We stayed here doing a section of the TMB in August 2024, as we could not find accommodation in a town closer to the trail. I reckon we lucked out finding Les Touristes - they showed us perfect mountain hospitality. Firstly, they offered to pick us up from the trail end for a much lower price than the eye-watering taxi quote. They also dropped us back to the trail the next day. The hotel is the cutest thing - a full 70s look, very retro - the rooms are simple, impeccably clean and have a jug w tea and coffee makings. Despite being on the frontiere w train and expressway outside, it was quiet. I slept like a baby - but like one of those rare babies that actually sleeps thru the night. The highlight for me was the restaurant - the rosti they served us for dinner was the best I've ever eaten, and perfect fare after a long day of walking. Nice campari and soda, very nice wine. And a great breakfast the next morning. It's a family run hotel - and they really do care about their guests. I wish more hotels were like this.
