I went to Le Montagnard for my son's wedding anniversary this evening. We were warmly welcomed by the very friendly waiter who explained all the options clearly. We ordered a raclette for three and my husband had a pierrade. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves from beginning to end; the food was delicious, and my husband's meat was incredibly tender. It was my first time there, but I will definitely go back. I highly recommend this establishment; the food is fantastic.

We came on Friday, a first for us, and we enjoyed everything. The waiter who was alone was fantastic (if all waiters could be like him it would be great). In any case, thank you for this experience where you feel like you're in the mountains as soon as you walk in (the smell of melted cheese 🤤).

The restaurant is beautifully decorated; you really feel like you're in a mountain chalet. The servers are fantastic, and the service is perfectly paced. We ordered a Savoyard fondue, with a charcuterie platter for my husband and the equally generous vegetarian option for me. The blueberry tart for dessert is to die for! Highly recommended!!

22/08/2026: I've been coming here for years and I realize I've never left a review. This restaurant is the place to be... A must-try in Poitiers. From the staff to the food, everything is excellent.
21/08/2026: We received a warm welcome from the very first moment. There was a queue to get in, but no one was turned away, and everyone was quickly offered a table. The service was exceptional; we hardly had to wait at all, and the servers were all extremely friendly. The food was truly delicious, with a wide variety of dishes; the quality was excellent, and the portions were generous, all for a very reasonable price considering the amount of food. In addition, we were offered unlimited amounts of bread (the servers brought us more every time it ran out), as well as olives and digestifs, all on the house. Furthermore, the restaurant is genuinely child-friendly, with a very healthy and well-prepared children's menu and a game provided to keep them entertained. We had a wonderful evening and thank the entire establishment from the bottom of our hearts.
