The setting was pleasant; we chose the menu blind and discovered some truly wonderful flavors. I highly recommend it.

Enjoyed a delicious lunch today beside the lake. The location of this restaurant is stunning and today, the weather was beautiful. The staff were extremely professional and very attentive but also discreet. The presentation of the dishes was of the highest quality we have experienced in this area. We will definitely be returning soon.

I waited a while before leaving this review. I was eager to explore the cuisine of another mill located in Montbron. Sunday evening's meal at your establishment was, as hoped, festive and refined. While the sommelier made some excellent wine pairing suggestions on the first visit, the cuisine itself lacked a certain sophistication. The setting is magnificent, as are the pastry chef's creations (this must be typical of restaurants on the water)... In Saint-Estèphe, the savory appetizers are significantly better. Yet Montbron is the clear winner when the bill arrives; you can eat alone there for much more, and as I mentioned in my TripAdvisor review: you're missing a brown hair—literally—perched atop the introduction to the €70 menu. Perhaps this comparison will encourage me to look for a wig to cover a vol-au-vent or a salad that arrives 20 minutes after the cheese course. See you soon! JPMB

A lovely spot by the water for a pleasant time. However, some servers lacked professionalism, and a few dishes, like the lobster, were underdeveloped.
