A very warm welcome on a terrace that provided welcome respite from the heat. Excellent food and wine, pleasant service. All for a very reasonable price considering the quality of the food served. We will be back.

Lunch for two by the river, right next to the lock. A very convenient shelter provided welcome shade. The staff at reception went out of their way to find us a table, as we hadn't booked and the restaurant was quite full. We chose the set lunch menu: starter, main course, and dessert, all at a very reasonable price. The broad bean salad with pepper flan was fresh and beautifully prepared. The quince and crackling pâté was excellent. Two pork belly dishes with a jus-style reduction sauce and homemade fries were another delight. The flambéed pineapple with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and hibiscus mousse was yet another treat. A completely homemade meal, a warm welcome, and excellent service. A reasonable bill—what more could you ask for in such a pleasant setting? A tip: booking seems more reliable given its popularity.
