In the middle of a hot summer afternoon, after a pleasant visit to the Palais des Papes to see the Lee Ufan exhibition, we found the perfect spot to relax, cool off, and enjoy an ice cream. For maximum comfort, always choose a terrace with natural shade. You'll always be cooler there. This establishment's terrace is the only one truly shaded by large, sturdy plane trees that protect us from the scorching sun of recent years. Furthermore, it also boasts the best view of the palace, the spacious square, and the entire vista of the climb up to the gardens. It's peaceful because it's a car-free zone. The staff is warm, welcoming, and always smiling. They are incredibly attentive. Their menu is varied and available at extended hours to suit your appetite and pace. The ice cream menu is simple, varied, and delicious. So there we were, sitting in the shade of the large plane trees, enjoying ice cream, coffee, and cold drinks in peace and quiet. A must-visit spot.

Wonderful setting opposite the Palais des Papes, tucked away from the terraces of other restaurants. We had a lovely dinner. The children's menu is perhaps a little pricey, as it only includes a drink and a main course for €15. Quality cuisine, beautiful view, and welcoming, friendly, and professional servers. A great experience during our stay in Avignon.

A place where I feel comfortable, affordable prices, friendly staff, and an ideal location opposite the Palais des Papes, a little removed from the hustle and bustle of other bars and restaurants. Kudos to the team for the warm welcome during this intense festival and in the heat!

Delicious, exquisite, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was perfect (even though a nearby table was particularly unpleasant for no apparent reason). The setting is lovely, and we were given the table we had requested when making the reservation. Serving truly delicious cuisine during this festival season is a real achievement. There were five of us, including a young dancer, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. Bravo!

We came for drinks with friends this afternoon and received an excellent welcome from the young woman. She was very attentive to our needs in this heatwave, taking great care of us, very quick and smiling ☺️ Honestly, this young waitress was fantastic. A big thank you for this lovely afternoon. I highly recommend this establishment and their very welcoming staff! 🥰

The restaurant is ideally located with a direct view of the Palais des Papes, but the view is secondary to the warm welcome and the delicious cuisine, served with attentive and efficient service. Highly recommended.

Sunday late afternoon, leaving the Palais des Papes parking lot, I was hungry. I turned around and saw empty tables. I asked if I could eat, and they said yes. Ten minutes later, all the tables were full. We were ordered the catch of the day: baked fish with a small, juicy risotto. Magnificent, delicious! The waiter was friendly and attentive. A place not to be missed!

A real gem on the Place du Palais des Papes! I'm from here, and yet I didn't know about this place… what a surprise! In the middle of the festival, everything was perfect: a warm welcome from the team, fresh ingredients, delicious dishes. Special mention to the friendly waitress Imen!, who was so attentive to the comfort of her tables. Honestly, a wonderful experience from beginning to end. Well done to the team! I'll definitely be back.
