Excellent food, superb location (right across from the Palais des Papes), very friendly staff. For the quality and location, we spent less than at other restaurants in Avignon. The dishes are beautifully presented, even my daughter's gourmet burger.

The service was swift, very friendly, and welcoming. We only wanted a light meal and were completely surprised by the exquisitely prepared food. Green asparagus, perfectly cooked, with fresh herbs, mild oil, a delicious mousse, and yogurt cream – all perfectly balanced. The fresh fries were served with an elaborately prepared sauce and a crisp, fresh salad. We will definitely go back. A true culinary delight and lovely service that perfectly complemented our holiday: merci beaucoup!

A truly wonderful experience. A simple tomato salad, given a modern twist by the chef with cheese mousse and strawberries, was a delight. I had the pleasure of congratulating the young chef who makes the rounds of the tables after the meal. The staff were incredibly attentive. Reasonable prices. A lovely experience and a beautiful memory.

Delicious, creatively prepared and presented dishes. Very friendly and unobtrusive staff. A beautiful location outside the Palais du Pape. There's always something going on in the square. A very lively and vibrant atmosphere. The young, very talented chef doesn't shy away from talking to customers and explains the elaborate preparation of the dishes. We were treated to ceviche, green peas with roasted fennel foam and mussels, an eggplant appetizer, and trout from the Auvergne. Many thanks for the excellent, professional work of everyone involved.

A French restaurant with tables overlooking the Papal Palace and an excellent and affordable menu with appetizer, main course, and dessert, both original and traditional. Generous glasses of wine and friendly, informal service... by far the best around!

Leaving La Mirande, extremely disappointed despite its 5 stars, we decided to stop at Le Moutardier du Pape… what a pleasant surprise! The chef himself introduced himself to offer us a menu adjustment, as I am vegetarian. The peas with fresh herbs and clams were a true delight, wow! Indulgence, freshness, and lightness, all accompanied by a delicious local wine. My new go-to spot. Attentive and quick service despite the full restaurant. Restaurateurs like they used to make. Best place in Avignon, go without hesitation!
