Le Mur d'Argent sur Saint-Christophe-En-Brionnais

Aperitifs... A tempting buffet of appetizers (terrine, rillettes, parsley ham, and salads), but you have to save room for the beef! It was delicious and melt-in-your-mouth tender. And to finish, a dessert buffet with pear panna cotta, chocolate fondant, floating island, canelés... portioned so you could try almost everything! Coffee and a digestif! THANK YOU 😁

This is the third time we've had lunch at Le Mur d'Argent in 20 years. >>Unfortunately, I think, the last… Despite the best efforts of the young waitress who was running around trying to catch up with the older customers who finally brought us the menu after a 40-minute wait and then didn't come back to take our order… We didn't order any aperitifs for fear of waiting even longer…. Arrival 11:50 Departure 14:30 >>Set menu €20 (starter-main-dessert) Very affordable price, simple meal with a generous portion, good meat, >>Premises that could use a dusting and refresh. The service organization really needs to be reviewed (we understand that the waitstaff is understaffed and we admired some of the waiters). …In the meantime, wouldn't it be better to turn away some customers so that they leave satisfied and give the establishment good publicity? Very good meat and top desserts

When I read restaurant reviews, I always wonder what people eat at home to be so demanding, or if they're just being disingenuous... For my part, I went to this one eight days ago and received a perfectly warm welcome, even with a (sacrilege!) vegetarian on the menu. 😎 Well, it wasn't a problem at all; they were very accommodating, even though they could easily have been less than welcoming. Getting back to the matter at hand, or rather, the food... I had an excellent ribeye steak with a generous portion of fries cooked in beef fat. And my friend had a fairly substantial plate of vegetables. It's a shame the all-you-can-eat buffet is no longer available... But that's understandable. In short, a good experience, despite a few minor but forgivable flaws. So go check it out and see for yourself. Thank you also to the very charming and smiling waitress...
