Le Nagoya sur Douai

The restaurant has beautiful decor and a consistently pleasant welcome. The fish is very fresh and the menu is varied. We love the set menu with five appetizers and one main course. The scallops are to die for. We've been coming to Nagoya for years and have never been disappointed.

The setting is superb: the restaurant is quite elegant and right on the waterfront. It must be wonderful in the summer. The service was also very good, with a very friendly waitress. However, the weak point is the food. First of all, everything they bring you looks nothing like the photos on the menu. In the pictures, the dishes are nicely presented, with little decorations, and look crispy. But that's completely different from what's actually served. The sushi rice is completely mushy, without the expected slightly sticky texture, as if it were overcooked. The takoyaki are passable, barely placed on lettuce. The apple ravioli on the dessert menu look fried and crispy, but what you get is boiled ravioli... It makes you wonder what's homemade and what's frozen, which is a shame, because in a setting like this, and at this price point, you shouldn't even have to ask.

The food is excellent, the decor is refined, I recommend it 100%.

A warm welcome, fast service, and delicious food—what more could you ask for? If we're being more specific, we can add the warm atmosphere, perfectly in keeping with the restaurant's theme. Everything you can eat there is fresh and very tasty (gyozas, noodles, sushi, etc.). The old restaurant was nice, but the new one feels more modern! I highly recommend it!

I usually order delivery. This time, we ate in. The setting is very pleasant! The quality of the food is excellent. The service is quick. However, the waiter is particularly unpleasant! He sighs when taking our order (we were a table of seven), rolls his eyes, no smile, no friendliness. And when it comes time to pay, he gets angry because we forgot to mention that we wanted to pay €25 with restaurant vouchers. This attitude makes the experience much less enjoyable… I prefer to eat my sushi at home now!
