Le Nelson sur Saint-Brieuc

I went to eat there without pretensions and I did well. Because overall I was rather disappointed. The food: I took the menu of the day: matured steak, foie gras sauce, fries and salad. The fries and salad were very good, and the sauce was very original. I have had the opportunity to eat a lot of entrecotes in my life and this one was not quality at all. Not to mention that it and the fries were neither salted nor peppered. The atmosphere: just before returning I saw 2 completely drunk homeless people (it was noon...) trying to enter the establishment, fortunately in vain... I was given a meat knife that didn't cut (fortunately they changed it when I notified them, it was sufficient but not much better anyway...). Towards the end of my meal a gentleman who was also completely drunk, whom the owner seemed to know, was placed at the table to my right (I know he was drunk because you could see it since he was humming to himself even though he had drunk a lot of beers). He made lots of different noises and stared at me on numerous occasions. As for the rest (waiting time, servers, etc.) it was neither excellent nor bad, they did their job without more or less. If you want to eat unpretentiously for around twenty euros this is a place that has the merit of existing (their smoothies, cocktails and homemade cakes don't look bad either) (edit: following the owner's response I note that she did not understand my opinion. I did not give a negative opinion but simply noted the facts. But obviously according to the boss I don't understand the importance of my opinion. Regarding drunk homeless people, it's simply a fact to highlight, nothing more. Concerning the knife or my empty plate all the same it is simply because the knife cut despite everything and the meal was far from being inedible (as I say besides the meat I enjoyed the rest). Concerning the gentleman next to me I reiterate: he CLEARLY hummed that he was drunk and had drunk several beers. His disability has nothing to do with the story. In addition, I did not ask to be moved because I was already at the end of the meal. I think I was just unlucky based on the other reviews. I also repeat that the place deserves to exist, offers affordable prices, and that the smoothies, cocktails and homemade cakes looked very good. I invite people to go and look around for themselves).

We have just left the restaurant and would like to thank you for this beautiful moment shared. The service was fast and diligent. It’s a beautiful address with delicious homemade dishes and desserts. We tried the dish of the day with the scallops, a beef burger and a children's menu, there was no false note. For dessert we tried the homemade tatin and the apricot tart. Nowadays, finding places where you cook is so rare. We recommend this warm and friendly brasserie. Excellent value for money. We will come back with pleasure.

Really tasty dishes and desserts to die for! The service is super cool, with great recommendations for pairing wine with meat. As a bonus, they welcomed our dog with a really cool attitude.
