Le Newyorkais sur Montpellier

I rarely leave mixed reviews usually. But the person who served us asked us to leave a review. So I'm going to do it this time. My partner and I went to try Le Newyorkais because we wanted to discover new restaurants. Thanks to an offer on The Fork platform, we could benefit from -50% on a selection of products in this restaurant. First surprise when you arrive there: desserts are not included in the reduction. It was indicated on The Fork "excluding menus and drinks", but not "excluding desserts". The setting is nice. We really liked the decoration of the small terrace. We started by ordering a smoothie which, despite its high price, was honestly delicious. We then ordered a pasta dish each: pesto and salmon. The prices of these dishes were 13€ and 17€ respectively. And that's where it gets stuck, especially for the pesto: paying €13 for 100g of penne with pesto and parmesan seemed much too expensive for the quantity offered. Luckily we had The Fork discount. And again, even at half price, I found it expensive. As for me, I finished my meal elsewhere 🫤 The people who took care of the service that day were quite friendly. That, we must admit :) I also give them the benefit of the doubt, because they indicated twice that "the chef (cook) was not there at lunchtime". There is a student menu for €9 on the menu which seems a little more interesting. However, the big downside regarding the quality/quantity/price ratio of the main course persists. And the main course is still essential in a meal.

Excellent cuisine, the terrace in the sun is a must and adds to the service and the kindness of the cook... I recommend this address which is right in front of the door on Rue de l'Université and which deserves to be known and encouraged! ! a great surprise :)

I went to dinner with a friend and our respective teenagers, we ate very well, varied choices and adapted to everyone's tastes. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very pleasant and the owner takes great care. I highly recommend this restaurant for a quality and reasonably priced meal. I would come back very quickly.

The New Yorker, the best Wok restaurant in Montpellier in my opinion. Excellent smoothies and healthy, balanced meals. You will be happy there and you will feel at home. The challenge of bringing New York to Montpellier is daring and, above all, very successful. Big up to the whole team

A simple fast food restaurant. The burger and milkshake were very good, my boyfriend's fries were undercooked and my dessert was frozen. The restaurant is small.

On a mangé à ce restaurant en soirée avec ma femme, très bon, délicieux. Rien à redire !
