Le Nid de Cigogne sur Mutzig

We had our meal on the roadside terrace. The traditional cuisine was excellent, and the service was pleasant and friendly. And don't forget to try a Mutzig beer! I highly recommend it.

Just one small negative point about the terrace: it's very noisy during the week because of the traffic, but I imagine it must be much quieter on Sundays. Otherwise, the food is very good; it reminds me of my grandmother's cooking.

Very good, generous cuisine, reasonable price

While customers usually seem satisfied and complimentary about this establishment (judging by the reviews), this was not our experience on the evening of July 13th, when the town of Mutzig held its traditional parade. We had a table reserved for five people at 7:30 pm, but left the restaurant at 9:15 pm without ordering dessert, exasperated by the interminable wait. We arrived 15 minutes early. We had already sensed the waitress's annoyance when, after ordering a tarte flambée with our aperitifs, we hadn't yet decided what to order for our main course. Once we had done so, the bottle of Pinot Noir we had chosen for our meal was brought to us immediately, without a chilled decanter (which we had to request), even though it was over 30°C. Then began an interminable wait for our food: one salmon carpaccio, two butcher's cuts with fries, and two roast beef dishes (as listed on the menu), one of which came with a potato salad that my friend had to wait for... and even ask for! The waitresses seemed completely disorganized and overwhelmed by the number of customers. They were running around between the terrace and the dining room, passing our table with total indifference. The terrace tables seemed to be their priority! While the food served was good and of high quality, it's clear they couldn't manage the influx of customers, which was quite predictable for a special event. It's clear that even though this restaurant had been recommended to us, we won't be returning.

The restaurant is very busy, so the staff is extremely busy. Nevertheless, attentiveness and friendliness are absolutely paramount. Océane and her colleague take wonderful care of the guests!

A small restaurant with a distinctly Alsatian charm, the cuisine is generous and delicious – a truly excellent meal. If you're passing through Mutzig and looking for a small restaurant, stop by Le Nid de Cigognes (The Stork's Nest).

Excellent traditional cuisine. The chef is awesome! His soups and sauces are superb.

A lovely, traditional restaurant. Warm welcome. A great menu. Chef Cedric is always excellent. Ideal for small family gatherings; be sure to book in advance. And during the week, the daily specials are very popular. Highly recommended.

We had a very good time and enjoyed a good meal. Despite our delay due to traffic jams on the motorway, we were able to enjoy our reservation, although we unfortunately felt the delay for a while during the meal, certainly due to the delay, and we apologize again.

The spider steak is excellent, just like my grandmother's, served with friendliness and smiles by the waitresses…reservations are essential if you want to be sure of getting a table…🫶🏼
