During a pleasant stroll through downtown Grenoble, my wife noticed tablecloths laid out in the middle of the garden on Place Victor Hugo, a lovely spot under the trees and overlooking the fountain, so we decided to stop and check out the menu. We were greeted with courtesy and professionalism, attributes that continued throughout the meal. The dishes arrived within minutes (to be fair, there weren't a lot of people, but the speed was still nice). All the food was beautifully prepared, tasty, and in more than satisfying quantities, the same was true for the desserts. I can only recommend it for a lunch with a great atmosphere, accompanied by very pleasant music at a volume that was adequate enough to be heard clearly, but not so loud as to disturb other diners.

A wonderful rediscovery of this Grenoble "place to be"! Excellent value for money (daily special of locally raised beef with market vegetables), pleasant setting, and very responsive and friendly service from Nicolas. Special mention to the pistachio panna cotta with the gourmet coffee.
