As every year, we stopped at Le Palangre for our first night. Always good, but very disappointed this year. The fish soup was okay, hence the two stars, but the rouille graullene reeked of grease (we only ate a quarter of the plate) and three small, dry squid for €24—avoid it! We had invited friends, but we won't be back. Hopefully, it was just a fluke. The waitress wasn't very friendly. If you could also avoid putting the baguette on the bin before serving it, that would be better. What a shame about this disappointment.

We had a wonderful evening at this restaurant. We were served by two different waiters out of the four present, whom I won't describe because I'm certain all four were equally excellent! The food was superb! The setting was perfect! We're not from the area, but we'll be back. Thank you for your kindness! ☺️☀️

04/10/2026: I finally got to discover this lovely café, which is part of Grau-du-Roi's heritage. The setting is beautiful and the servers are smiling and friendly. We weren't able to eat because it was the last day before our well-deserved annual vacation. See you in six months then! :)
01/10/2026: I loved the welcome, ideally located right next to the canal. The service was excellent and always with a big smile, even though it was busy. Great value for money, we'll be back!

09/09/2026: A true institution of Marseilles bouillabaisse
08/09/2026: A decent restaurant with good, if not overpriced bouillabaisse, only serves 2 but still far too much food for us. They serve a bowl of the broth before they bring you the full meal after showing the seafood they will cook in it. The broth is delicious and you can tell there is experience and culinary skills that go into making it. We paired it with a nice white cote du rhone. Service was ok but less that the standard we’d expect at 80 euros per person. Not much of a view either (it’s not harbor side) the seats are uncomfortable and the lighting bright and intrusive. I wouldn’t go back, but it was a decent experience once.
