Beautiful view of the Grande Motte glacier. Wood-fired barbecue all summer long, the smell is amazing. A bit pricey though...

A bar and restaurant offering exceptional panoramic views! Located at the top of the funicular, it offers plenty of seating (benches, lounge chairs, tables). Prices are a bit high, but the location is ideal, especially on sunny days. The atmosphere is lively with continuous music!

The terrace at 3000m altitude is simply exceptional! The lunchtime snack bar is great, grilled food cooked over a brazier and a breathtaking view.

Many years ago (‘89 - ‘91) I visited this restaurant and we had a lot of fun during SummerSki. Very good place to have a break. Enjoy⛷️🍻

A regular on snowboard holidays and on summer holidays! Different options for food, canteen style option which is always delicious or a sit down meal. Plenty of choice of drinks, cakes. For all the family! And there's usually the owners dogs! Be aware that in the summer the outside hatch is open only. From June, I believe it's mid July the main restaurant opens. It's weather dependant too as you need to get the venicular.

A very pleasant surprise for a mountain restaurant. Delicious dishes all cooked on the brazier on the terrace, with homemade sauces, amazing bone marrow, croque monsieur with Beaufort cheese and a little mushroom stuffing... Good value for money.

Overall a disappointing meal. Lamb shoulder wasn't very tasty. Neither were the ribs. Ice cream dessert had cookies so hard I felt I would break my teeth. The raspberry sorbet was good but I've had much better. The best part was the side of fries dipped into the mashed potatoes. Really loud inside, tables packed together. Tough to have a conversation with the person you're sitting with. Service was adequate but nothing special. Have had much tastier food for less than 1/2 the price elsewhere in Tignes.

What a view! High-end cuisine at over 3000m altitude. Very good wine list. Excellent dessert buffet. It's a shame there wasn't a complimentary glass of génépi at the end!

18/08/2026: Probably the best Savoyard restaurant in Tignes.
05/08/2026: Excellent, top-notch service and beautiful decor! The only downside was that the after-dinner drink we ordered could have been complimentary. It's a shame because some other good restaurants do offer it, and we had a three-figure bill. I don't think they'd mind that much.

La Queue de Cochon

14/04/2026: Can you tell me why the restaurant is called La Queue de Cochon (The Pig's Tail) when there is no pig's tail dish?
06/04/2026: Nice ambience and old school bar. I like the vibe there. You should try their charcuterie plate with formage, it’s good for sharing.
