A regular stop during my visits to Cherbourg, a dinner at Pantagruel never disappoints. Easy reservation, very good atmosphere in a characterful room on the ground floor where you can see your meat or Camembert cooking over the fire, the team is pleasant and the dishes are excellent.

They kindly seated us immediately.
Made us feel very welcome.
Menu was not extensive but lots of excellent quality choices.
Quality beef steaks cooked on charcoal / wood grill.
Good wine list.
Staff attentive , friendly but not intrusive.
Food quality excellent and attractively served.
Would recommend and return.

We had a good time in a pleasant setting with this fireplace where we can see the chef preparing our dishes live, very good and generous dishes

Good meat, simple but effective barbecue cooking. Too bad the duck breast was served without the fat, an unacceptable error.
Hello, I am surprised by your response, I have been cooking duck barbecue for years. To avoid flames you have several options: indirect cooking such as a smoker, installing a tray with water under the duck breast... I recommend that you try. If you visit Versailles I will show you my barbecue with pleasure
