Simple, traditional cuisine in a charming, bucolic setting at an attractive price in the market square. We had lunch there as a group of three on market day. The dining room is beautifully decorated with a springtime, English garden feel. The service was friendly and quite quick despite the restaurant being full. We ordered two croque monsieur sandwiches and a savory tart; the dishes were simple but very tasty. Excellent value for money in the market square; we highly recommend it.

A very pleasant and flowery setting. Excellent service. Very good value for money for Versailles/market square. The menu is quite original. A starter/main course/dessert for lunch and dinner at €24 is unheard of in Versailles. Everything is homemade. A very good place, I will be back.

Le Parnasse is in a quieter corner of the square, which isn't unpleasant, and the setting is pleasant, a little old-fashioned or romantic. The food is simple, and the quality of service is very inconsistent. There's an amateurish feel to it that contributes to both its authenticity and some of its drawbacks.

15/02/2026: We stopped by this small brasserie in the St. Louis district of Versailles on a Saturday at lunchtime as a family. Having eaten there previously with colleagues during the week, I had fond memories of it. Yesterday, however, it was a completely different story... While we were warmly welcomed by the owner and the waiter, things went downhill after the main course, as we waited and waited and waited... We saw other customers waiting and then leaving after their main courses, and we eventually did the same to go home for dessert. What happened that day? I don't know, but the waiter was so overwhelmed that he even brushed off "René," a regular customer who hadn't seen his food arrive for 45 minutes. I was the first to be disappointed, having recommended this little brasserie to my family. Otherwise, the restaurant is clean, well-located in a historic area of ​​Versailles, and you can easily find paid parking spaces in the municipal parking lots. In short, I was really disappointed with this restaurant that day; perhaps I should go back another Saturday to see...
