Driving from Troyes to Bourbonne-les-Bains, I passed by this little restaurant that morning, finding it quite charming in its verdant setting.
Passing by again around noon, I stopped in and I wasn't disappointed. Of course, don't expect a gourmet restaurant; you have to take it for what it is: a small restaurant, the kind you see far too rarely these days.
On the terrace, shaded by large chestnut trees, we were pleasant despite the heatwave. The waitress was very friendly, down-to-earth, smiling, and attentive. Since it was so hot, the set menu was cold, but perfectly adequate for this type of establishment. My break was a real treat; I left feeling refreshed and relaxed for the rest of my workday. I'll definitely keep this address in mind.
