Le Petit Sommelier sur Paris

Top-notch cuisine with beautifully executed traditional dishes (VGE soup, pigeon pithiviers) and an exceptional wine list, expertly recommended by the sommelier! I will be back.

The food was good quality, the beef bourguignon was excellent. However, the prices were very high. The wine selection was very extensive, but the prices were far too high (at least five times the shop price per bottle; €40 for an €8 wine is highway robbery). Not all the servers were very attentive; we had to order a carafe of water three times...

One of the best places in Paris to feel the real parisian food and atmosphere. Great quality!

A delicious and generous suckling pig, accompanied by a magnificent natural red wine from the Jura region (Pinot Noir and Poulsard) recommended by the sommelier. A convivial atmosphere was much appreciated.

A loyal customer of Le Petit Sommelier, which I've been visiting for several years and which is always one of my first reservations upon arriving in Paris. It's a place I really appreciate, especially for the steak tartare and the excellent wine list. On my last visit (Tuesday the 6th), the welcome and service were excellent, despite my being late due to a train problem. The meal was very good, although the steak tartare seemed slightly below what I've experienced before. The only negative point concerned payment: neither of my two foreign cards (Spanish and American) was accepted. The waiter explained that construction work or activity around the Montparnasse train station could sometimes cause communication problems with the terminal. I accepted the explanation and paid in cash after going to the ATM, which seemed to be standard procedure. However, as a regular customer—and after reading similar reviews—I think this issue should be addressed internally to avoid unnecessary stress for customers, especially international ones. Despite this, the experience remains overall very positive and I will continue to return.

Excellent quality and selection of food and wines, superb sommelier service, and impeccable service timing. A truly excellent Parisian brasserie with an exceptional wine selection!

Great food selection very well cooked and presented. Tables not too close to each other. Of course an excellent wine list with several wines by the glass using Coravin including a wonderful Coche Dury Meursault.

The proximity to Montparnasse train station led us to choose "Le Petit Sommelier": we greatly appreciated the warm welcome, the speed (we were on a tight schedule), and the quality of the food. The scallops presented in their copper dish, the rum babas generously soaked... fantastic! Thank you for this wonderful discovery!

This was such a great meal. Recommended by a friend that lives in Paris and it did not disappoint. Great food, great service and a great wine list. Will definitely return and highly recommend to anyone.
