Le Petit Sommelier sur Paris

Friendly welcome, honest and straightforward cuisine, and to top it all off, a superb wine list and a knowledgeable sommelier. In short, top-notch.

While the bœuf bourguignon was decent, the rest was so mediocre I cannot recommend it. For prices 10 euro more than elsewhere, I expect better. There is little atmosphere, lights are full blast, it’s a bit dirty, the service was not top. Our hotel recommended this place - I live in francophone Europe, I know what to expect and I can say this is a tourist trap.

Very warm welcome and helpful advice on wine selection. I was expecting a more exceptional beef bourguignon: the meat was good and well-cooked, but the portion was average.

A great community gathering place!

Excellent food, fantastic wines and friendly, smiling and efficient service!

The food was very inconsistent and the service disappointing. The starter (sea bream carpaccio) was acceptable. However, the sole meunière (400g) was a huge disappointment: nearly a third of the fish was made up of roe, making it inedible. The unfriendly waiter went to the kitchen without explanation and then returned claiming that the weight was calculated without the roe, which seems hard to believe given the actual size of the fish served. Add to that the high prices, and I do not recommend this restaurant.

The team took excellent care of us despite the service being right in the middle of WineParis! And our table wasn't freeing up! But a solution was found and it was a pleasure to share a good dinner with wine lovers.

There are few truly authentic places where you feel like you do at Le Petit Sommelier: a warm atmosphere, impeccable service, delicious food, and a perfect wine list. Highly recommended.

An absolutely perfect experience at Le Petit Sommelier. Special mention and even a standing ovation for Maurice, who embodies the very soul of the place. His service is exceptionally elegant, warm, and attentive without ever being intrusive. Maurice has that precious gift of making you feel wanted, listened to, and perfectly advised.

A truly excellent place to enjoy hearty yet refined dishes, and rediscover foods that are becoming increasingly rare in Parisian brasseries (frog legs, bone marrow, generous vol-au-vent, sweetbreads). The sauces are divine, the wine list is practically a catalogue 🤣, and that's only half of what they have, according to one of the waiters. Speaking of the waiters, they're attentive without being intrusive, offering excellent advice, with just the right touch of humor. Everything is homemade, right down to the puff pastry of a marvelous orange blossom mille-feuille (a little too subtle for my taste). My friends' desserts were equally delicious (a Liège chocolate mousse and a surprising sage crème brûlée). I've walked past this restaurant hundreds of times; from now on, I'll be stopping in more often!
