Le potager sur Nancy

Passing through town, we didn't know where to eat; we stopped when we saw "Spaetzle Gratin" on the menu, we just had to try it! In the end, we weren't disappointed we came, it was very good, the staff were welcoming and friendly! And the prices are reasonable, a great find!

The meals are very good and plentiful; the only downside is the very slow service—40 minutes between being seated and receiving our food.

While in Nancy, we simply had to try a local specialty restaurant, which led us to Le Potager Lorrain! A lovely little restaurant in Nancy with simple, seasonal, local cuisine. There are a few tables inside (though rather close together) and some seats outside on the terrace overlooking the lively street. A selection of delicious cocktails, mocktails, and wines are on the menu. There are many options for main courses: open-faced sandwiches, salads, quiches, tarts, vol-au-vents, Spätzle, and more. Everything looks incredibly tempting! The presentation is equally beautiful! We ordered quiche Lorraine and quiche Lorraine with Munster cheese, which were both delightful. The portions are generous and hearty! We had very large slices of quiche! For dessert: a delicious Dame Blanche (vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce) and a mirabelle plum tartlet overflowing with mirabelle plums! It was all very good! All this at a very affordable price (13 euros for the quiches as a main course, 8.50 euros for the mirabelle plum tartlet). The service is quick. The waitresses are very friendly. We recommend it!

It's always a real pleasure to rediscover the specialties of our beautiful Lorraine ❤️ Every time I return to Lorraine, I enjoy eating at this restaurant. The Lorraine specialties are delicious, and the mirabelle plum beer is a real treat! And to finish, the little mirabelle plum tart: simply divine 😋❤️ A very good place that I happily recommend!

I absolutely loved the quiche Lorraine here! An AI told me this place was one of the best in town for this dish. I don't know if that's objectively true, but in any case, for me, it's clearly the best quiche I've ever eaten! A perfectly golden and crispy crust, a generous and well-balanced filling. A place to remember for lovers of good savory pastries 🥧 P.S.: There's no air conditioning in the dining room.

A pleasant spot on the foodie street to enjoy good quality Lorraine specialties at reasonable prices. The quiches, Lorraine pâtés, and spaetzle were good, but the crème brûlée was very runny, although it tasted good. Paying an extra 4 euros for hot water seems a bit excessive. The service was adequate, though the waitress was a little rude.
