A small shaded terrace, two interior rooms. A slate - magnificent -, I, from Lyon, lover of pork, let myself be tempted by a "veal's head and tongue"...I "torched" the audience. My friends tasted Berry specialties and made great discoveries. The wine list is “festoyant” from Sancerres and Pouilly.
The chef, Arnaud I think, and alone in the kitchen 👍👌, his partner, sometimes a little "under pressure" provided the service but in the end everything went well 😊.
Do like us, stop at Surry en Vaux.
Ce sympathique restaurant propose une cuisine simple et de bonne qualité mise en valeur par un service efficace et bienveillant. Le cadre est agréable. La terrasse aux beaux jours étant un plus. La patrone est à l'écoute, ce qui n'est pas si commun. Le parking municipal à proximité est un plus quand on vient nombreux (ce qui était notre cas).
It's still as good as it was 24 years ago. The owners have done work, but that does not take away the charm of Pousse Cailloux. If you are in the region of Sury-en-Vaux in Sancerre, go there, you will not be disappointed.
