Absolute gem! I had the beef stew made in beer and it was amazing. The atmosphere and the staff were 10/10.

On vacation from April 29th to May 3rd, 2024.
In Douai on Wednesday, May 1st, 2024
I found myself at Le Pré Vert where I ordered:
- 1 non-alcoholic cocktail: Orange, pineapple, grenadine, lemon --> €6
- Maroilles cheese toast --> €6.80
- Flemish carbonnade --> €15
- Raspberry sabayon --> €6.80
For a total of €34.60, very good value for money.
The owner is helpful if needed, a warm welcome, good advice, nice presentation, and delicious. There was little waiting time. The sauce was extraordinary: smooth, flavorful, and well-rounded.
The waiter knew the menu very well and was happy to answer any questions.
One small drawback: only one non-alcoholic cocktail, but that's normal in the North = beer.

As a retired restaurateur, I can only say Bravo! Bravo for the warm welcome, bravo for the quality of your home-style cooking, and very reasonable prices.
We visited you for the first time on March 3rd (a table of 15). Everyone was very satisfied, and we will definitely be back soon.

The delicious taste of "homemade," even the fries! The staff doesn't compromise; they peel and cut everything themselves!
The "wesh" (a type of local dish) is also homemade, made to order—try it!
Besides being probably the best "brasserie" in Douai, it's also excellent value for money.
We go back regularly.

While passing through Douai, we thoroughly enjoyed the Flemish carbonnade. The portions were very generous. The homemade tiramisu was excellent. The welcome and service were top-notch. Highly recommended.
