Three days with friends at the Prieuré, I highly recommend the establishment, the quality of the rooms, breakfast, lunch and dinner, everything is perfect! Top-notch welcome, the staff are very friendly and professional.

My wife and I have known the Priory for two decades, visiting in various seasons. Today, it's run by a young couple, ably supported by a fantastic all-female team—smiling, warm, and attentive, with whom you'll enjoy chatting. The setting, steeped in history, is exceptionally peaceful, with a swimming pool in the summer, a terrace, and an unobstructed view of the Dore Valley. The nights are restful, and the regional cuisine features local produce prepared with simplicity and delicious flavor combinations. It's a side of the Auvergne (not always well-known), different from the Puys region, but very pleasant, with a wealth of diverse cultural and sporting activities.

We went there as a family for brunch. Very good experience, everything is homemade, very good brioches of different kinds, all-you-can-eat buffets and spit-roasted chicken.

We discovered this place during a christening… and wow! A place full of character, calm and relaxing. Chef Lucas excels at making meat, truffade (a potato and cheese dish), and cake! The fireplace with the spit, the view outside, the large grounds ✌️ We slept in a unique and very comfortable room! We'll be back on our next trip to the Auvergne region. 13 minutes from Ambert and 15 minutes from La Chaise-Dieu

Two meals (late 2024 and July 2025) in this wonderful place, and we'll be back! We live about 25 kilometers away and discovered the place by word of mouth. The food is excellent (homemade, seasonal produce); the chef is truly passionate about what he does, and it shows. His aged prime rib is a delight. The service is impeccable: attentive, friendly, and eager to offer advice. The old setting is absolutely sublime and very well preserved and maintained. All this for a very reasonable price considering the quality of the food, the service, and the beauty of the place. Don't change a thing; everything is absolutely perfect!
