Traditional French dishes, suggestive place Very nice at the reception but the service is not up to par!

We were able to share a meal in this place to celebrate a birthday and none of us were disappointed in anything: the atmosphere is perfectly similar to that of a high quality Parisian restaurant, quality which is reflected in the dishes served very quickly despite the number of seats in the restaurant. This is also true for the perfectly on point and very pleasant service. I recommend

I have wanted to eat here for years and finally got the chance tonight. They squeezed us in on our chance visit. The interior is as you'd expect of one of Paris' oldest cafe's. We were situated downstairs in the corner but had a great view of the street. The staff were absolutely lovely. All very friendly and no stuffiness. They have a fantastic 2 and 3 course dinner deal. My partner had the French onion soup and chuck steak from the deal menu and they were amazing. I had the escargot and steak tartar, both of which were with the best I've tasted. Courses were supplied with ridiculous amounts of bread. The creme brulee was tasty and silky smooth and the cheese platter was generous with brie, chevre and a blue, akin to gogonzola. Wines were expensive, as tends to be the case in Parisian restaurants, but the 'mid-price' Morgon was perfect. A beautiful meal, which ended up on the slightly expensive side. But that was our choice. Highly recommended and we will be back.

This restaurant is by far THE BEST restaurant in Paris. The food is not just delicious but prepared with outmost intricate thought and creativity. The atmosphere is incredible and the historic aspect of this restaurant is truly unique. I would highly recommend dining here AND not to forget Dessert!! Service impeccable! Our waitress Lena was very accommodating and explained in detail every dish we asked about. Enjoy!!

The venue and its history is amazing, but a little more care for the philosophers menu would have been appreciated. Not going to lie, I was expecting a bit more refinement. Watery vegetables drenched in olive oil, cold creme brulee, etc. Not the finest dining to be done.

Lukewarm dishes, not spicy enough and not very tasty; cold, dry fries. Crockery, service and atmosphere good but meal not up to par with the place
