I was passing through the area, and this place was recommended to me. I highly recommend it! The food is fantastic, the owners are incredibly kind, and a special shout-out to Fabien who was absolutely wonderful! If you want to eat well and have a great time, you know what to do.

Great! A lively place where regulars and curious passersby mingle. The owner, his wife, and the waiter are very friendly. We came on Thursday evening for the poutine. Delicious! Approved by my partner, who lived in Quebec, with real Quebec cheese curds. And very reasonably priced. The classic poutine is €10/€13 for an XL; I've never seen it so cheap in France. The calf's head on Tuesdays is also renowned in the region. Quebec beers on tap and by the bottle, and a nice selection of local wines in all three colors (Chateaumeillant, Reuilly, Valençay...). A little gem, just the kind we love to find in the countryside.

A warm welcome during the Saint Chartier weekend. There's no menu and prices aren't displayed, which was a bit of a nuisance for us (some people aren't comfortable asking). But no unpleasant surprises. €6.80 for 4 diabolo drinks is perfectly reasonable. The terrace is pleasant and well-shaded thanks to the numerous parasols. -1 point for Doudou the dog who snubbed me 😭😝🤣
