le Recantou sur Saint-Germain-De-Calberte

We were tired and dreaming of a little coffee to perk us up for the rest of the GR70. Darn! Le Recantou seemed closed, but… not quite! They welcomed us despite the “exceptional closure” and treated us like royalty! Hats off to the hospitality! Have a great season, everyone, and thanks again!

Located in the heart of the village, the restaurant has a friendly atmosphere. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. We ate there after a day of hiking. The meal was delicious and very generous for a very reasonable price.

Traditional bar and restaurant, just the kind you love to find on the Stevenson Trail! Warm welcome and very good local cuisine.

Experience of a tiny inn frequented by the whole village...who stay to drink until 2 am 😱. Rooms and bathrooms are outdated. Excellent, hearty dinner. Unconventional staff.

Lovely guesthouse, excellent welcome, friendly owners. The meal was perfect, and they were very accommodating with menu changes. The rooms are a bit dated but clean and the bathrooms are perfect.

Great experience... A clean and, above all, very welcoming guesthouse, especially if you arrive on foot. Home-style cooking, but with local ingredients, a real treat.
