Excellent restaurant on the Stevenson Trail with superb fresh produce, attentive service, a delight

Brigitte gave us a wonderful welcome and took excellent care of us and my donkey. She knows the Stevenson Trail well and gave us valuable advice. We also had a very good meal.

If you're looking for peace and quiet, this might not be the best place. It's noisy, especially if you happen to be there during DJ competition week. Very strange for an establishment catering to hikers who might be up early. Otherwise, the staff is very friendly and the food is good.

A much-appreciated stop on our Stevenson Trail. The service was superb! I enjoyed a delicious and generous meal. Their verbena tea is exceptional.

Off the Stevenson Trail A surprising place with character, just the way we like it: both warm and rebellious, an unusual spot served by colorful characters. We loved the authenticity of the place, the meal, and the personality of the hosts. Thank you for your hospitality.

My best meal on the Stevenson Trail! Fred is a great guy who will go out of his way to help you, even outside of his regular hours.

A very comforting meal in the middle of a hard day!

We were tired and dreaming of a little coffee to perk us up for the rest of the GR70. Darn! Le Recantou seemed closed, but… not quite! They welcomed us despite the “exceptional closure” and treated us like royalty! Hats off to the hospitality! Have a great season, everyone, and thanks again!

Located in the heart of the village, the restaurant has a friendly atmosphere. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. We ate there after a day of hiking. The meal was delicious and very generous for a very reasonable price.
