Le Refuge sur La Croix-Valmer

On a rainy and cold Easter Sunday it was a joy to enter the cosy restaurant. Our table was directly next to the fireplace. Being welcomed by the owner and having a perfect service throughout our entire meal raised our expectations. We enjoyed salmon served cold with guacamole and a lamb Wellington dish with mixed vegetable and roasted potatoes with a special sauce. Delicious! So was the popcorn desert. Prices are on the upper side but justified by the quality (and the region). The digestive was on the house. This was the first time we visited Le Refuge in 39! years...but certainly not the last.

The restaurant offers remarkable cuisine from every point of view. Friendly welcome, beautiful decor, super friendly bartender. Zero flaws. Whether for dinner or a garnished aperitif, we are always delighted! Congratulations to the cook!

Everything was perfect ! Whether it is the quality of the room, spacious, new and nicely decorated, large terrace, the refinement of the cuisine, the warm welcome from Laurent and his team, the perfect quiet location on Gigaro beach and at the start one of the most beautiful hikes we have done, the one that leads to Cap Lardier then to Cap Taillat. In short, flawless!! 🤩 See you soon ! 😉

We took advantage of the opening of the Refuge this weekend and as always, everything was perfect: the welcome, the setting as cozy and pleasant as ever and the excellent cuisine! Address not to be missed!

We went to the Refuge almost by chance after a magnificent seaside walk on the customs officers' path. The terrace facing the sea is very beautiful and the food is excellent. That day we were able to taste an Aioli as the dish of the day, it was magical. The sommelier's advice to accompany this dish was very relevant and the service impeccable. In short, an excellent lunch!!!!

Excellent value for money for the lunch menu. Quality of welcome, service, and dishes offered. To be tested when returning from Gigaro beach or from a walk to Cap Lardier.
