My sea bass baked in a salt crust was exceptional! We came for a hen party and thoroughly enjoyed the refined French cuisine and the warm atmosphere. The service was a little slow between courses, but this didn't detract from the overall experience. I highly recommend it!

We were expecting a delicious calf's head. Unfortunately, that wasn't really the case… the dish was generous, but the calf's head was dry, as if it had been left in the microwave too long without a cover. A real shame for a restaurant like this. Also, I was very disappointed with the mojito, which was initially served without cane sugar, with lemon (it should have been lime!), and after asking for more sugar, the mojito arrived with four ants on top… not great… even though, of course, it was replaced. Despite these inconveniences, no compensation was offered.

Le Relais de Barbizon is an establishment that has preserved the traditions of fine dining, which I am always delighted to rediscover. The service is impeccable, with attentive staff, a presentation of the fish and other meats to the guests before carving, and a chef who prepares all the fish dishes right in the dining room (filling, carving, etc.). I really appreciate this traditional touch, which is becoming increasingly rare these days. A concise menu offers enough choice for everyone to find something they enjoy. The dishes are flavorful and beautifully presented. I recommend the fish, which is incredibly fresh, and the sea bass, prepared in a salt crust (a delight, cooked to perfection). The desserts bring this gastronomic journey to a close with a sweet treat that delights the palate. A truly wonderful culinary experience that I highly recommend.

We had some doubts after browsing online. We were wrong, despite the restaurant's high volume of customers slightly impacting the continuity of service. The dishes were truly excellent: lobster ravioli with lightly salted beurre monté, just the right hint of iodine; a beautiful sea bass baked in a salt crust "like on the banks of the Bosphorus," if I may say so, with truffle oil mashed potatoes. The desserts were equally impressive, with Grand Marnier soufflé and flambéed pineapple. The reality on the plate lived up to the enticing descriptions, which is hardly surprising: Chef Mikael Briens is a well-traveled Breton. As for the manager of this lovely establishment, he has selected some excellent wines, such as the Côtes de Provence from Domaine Ott, Clos Mireille Blanc de Blancs (Sémillon/Rolle); and he is eager to further enhance the wine list. A very nice prelude, in short, to the visit of the incredible Auberge Ganne, which houses the departmental museum of the painters of Barbizon, and then of the Millet Workshop with its friendly Lebanese caretaker.

Flawless! Excellent cuisine and a warm atmosphere. "You feel at home as soon as you walk in, and the food is divine." A chill lounge area where you can enjoy excellent sushi and cocktails. I highly recommend this lovely establishment.

I've eaten at this restaurant several times now; the staff is friendly and very attentive. The dishes are excellent, made with high-quality ingredients. I recommend the lobster with vinaigrette and the calf's head with gribiche sauce, and to finish on a high note, try the homemade tarte tatin. Some will tell you this restaurant is expensive, but that's because they're kebab eaters. It's true that it's a bit pricey, but considering the quality of the food, it's still reasonable.

Excellent restaurant, admittedly a bit pricey, but when you see the quality of the ingredients, such as the very fresh Breton lobster and the beautifully sized scallops, it's worth it. Don't hesitate to try this restaurant.

21/04/2026: A wonderful evening shared with friends. The food was delicious, the atmosphere very relaxed, and the staff were lovely! The chef is approachable and genuinely friendly! I'd like to give a special mention to the person who runs the tapas bar; they are incredibly kind. It leaves you wanting to come back soon! I highly recommend it! See you very soon!

24/01/2026: The crepes are pretty good, the real plus is that there's a small games room upstairs, however the wait is far too long
06/01/2026: Lovely little creperie in Barbizon. Open lunchtime and afternoon, but make sure you book in busy periods.
