I experienced a truly timeless moment at L’Ermitage, thanks to its gastronomic menu, imbued with boldness, authenticity, and beautiful local produce. I had never enjoyed a meal so much! The experience was enhanced by a very pleasant and professional team who added their own special touch to make the meal even more delicious! Congratulations on this wonderful project.

Small menu but the dishes are original and generous. A quiet room at the back, an indoor room, and a terrace. The only downside is the wait time and the fact that some dishes are no longer available.

We had a wonderful time at the Saint Antoine Hermitage. The place is magnificent, the food is fantastic, there were two of us and we will gladly return! I highly recommend this place!

Family lunch, attentive and courteous service, beautiful restaurant and charming dining room. Special mention to the waitress who took great care of my 5-year-old son. Excellent value for money. The octopus was exceptional and the beef cheek was melt-in-your-mouth tender and full of flavor. The trompe-l'œil desserts were superb. A restaurant to return to.

An excellent restaurant! My partner and I had dinner there and everything was perfect: the setting, the service, and of course, the food, which was excellent. We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance. Arriving first, around 12:20 pm on August 15th, we ordered three dishes to share: shrimp tartare, soft meatballs, and octopus. The tartare was excellent, fresh, and well-seasoned. The meatballs were flavorful with a rich, creamy sauce, perfect for those who like toast soldiers. The octopus was tender, and the side dish of leek, tomato, and buckwheat was simple but pleasant. A truly excellent culinary experience! We also tried the desserts: mango and peanut from a local pastry chef, accompanied by ice cream from the artisan across the street. The mango was superb, the peanut could have used a little more depth, but overall, the experience was excellent. We highly recommend it!

08/09/2026: A brief moment out of time. When I was planning my week's vacation in Seine-et-Marne, and more specifically my visit to Barbizon, I had initially chosen a different restaurant. Unusually, I checked the reviews for that establishment. The poor quality of service was mentioned several times... So I looked for another and came across Le Gaulois. There, the reviews were glowing about the hospitality. So I decided to eat at Le Gaulois. After my experience, I'm very happy with my choice. I had a truly relaxing time there, which greatly enhanced my well-being for the day. I was first greeted by a woman of rare beauty, elegance, and grace. Smiling and gentle, I realized that she was probably the one I had texted when I made my reservation. I smiled afterward because the three young men serving and working the bar also looked like they'd stepped out of a modeling agency! Helpful and smiling without ever being obsequious, they took excellent care of me throughout my meal. I had lunch in a small, covered courtyard, which was also particularly charming. The eggs meurette were excellent, the beef fillet exceptionally tender, and the homemade fries perfectly complemented the rest of the meal. The floating island dessert with its crème anglaise completed this complete success. I hope to return before I leave; it all depends on some acquaintances I need to meet before my departure. Thank you to the chef and the entire team.

Le Relais de Barbizon

11/09/2026: We only tried the hidden terrace of the sushi and cocktail bar! Super cozy alcove, stylish design. Lovely waiter, good sushi. Beautiful presentation. The gin, basil, and cucumber cocktail is as delicious as it is beautiful!! On a Friday at 6 pm, we were the only ones there, fantastic 😁. We'll definitely be back 👍🏼
07/09/2026: September 7, 2026: Well, there you have it, another flawless experience with attentive staff and impeccable service. My mother and I had a wonderful time, and of course, we will return and recommend this establishment to our friends and family, who are still talking about it. July 2026: Ah, the haven of peace in the magical village of Barbizon: the shaded terrace is perfectly laid out, the cuisine authentic, the chef welcoming, and the service attentive. Only one thought comes to mind: I will return with my loved ones to share this unexpected gem on the edge of the Fontainebleau forest.
