The visit was actually a coincidence: after we were turned away from a Michelin restaurant nearby or there was no children's menu (even though it was stated on the homepage) we were looking for dinner.
Saw the restaurant at the intersection (and lots of trucks in the large parking lot in front) and decided to try there. Warmly greeted by the host inside, we were allowed to choose the seats and order directly. The drinks came quickly and each of us was able to find something for ourselves on the menu.
As a starter there was a buffet with salads and cold cuts, which we know from ouvrier restaurants. My child had hamburgers as his main course, my husband had the delicious, well-seasoned mussels and I had the tastiest and most tender meat (onglet de boef) I have eaten in a long time! The cooking level was perfect and the pepper sauce went wonderfully with it.
Cheese platter and dessert with coffee rounded off the meal.
More and more long-distance drivers arrived, but the service was still quick and the innkeeper paid attention to all the tables.
In the end, we had a lovely evening and can recommend the restaurant.
We went there without knowing the establishment and we found that it was a nice place with very friendly people. Working-class meal reminiscent of roadside restaurants. Only one downside, at the aperitif, small appetizers would have been Welcome. In terms of quality and price, nothing to complain about.
