The owner was very friendly, the food was tasty and well cooked Although the owner does it all, takes orders, cooks, serves, etc… we didn’t felt forgotten or unattended

10 years since I last ate couscous. Here the chicken is good, the merguez is more than good (how bad is it anyway). The vegetables and semolina are extra. There are just a few grapes missing, if you have to quibble.

Great service, excellent Algerian couscous, great meat, not too expensive. The owner is very nice. We loved it

Good, simple and inexpensive menus. Excellent couscous. The lamb mechoui as the dish of the day is a pure delight. The boss takes care of everything very efficiently and cordially usually on his own. The products are fresh daily and come from the Aligre market.

Bistrots around Paris train stations always offer great deals, like this local Le Relais Diderot, where chef Ali, an Algerian Berber, stays open all day serving a hearty vegetarian couscous for €9 or French dishes of the day like steak frites or boeuf bourguignon (€9.50). Not flash, and sadly rather empty when we visited.

The couscous is good, the stews are good, the fries are crazy, just the way we like them and Ali, the boss, is very kind. There is still an inexpensive restaurant in Paris. Perfect.

05/09/2024: Does the job but not crazy pizza :-/. Price ok.
03/08/2024: Went to this place as we were staying close and the staff were so welcoming. The pasta wasn’t available until 7pm but the staff made it a little earlier, we were happy to wait but so pleased they went the extra mile. Loved the food so much we got take away on our last night in Paris. The pepperoni pizza and the spaghetti bolognaise are so tasty, would recommend these for sure.

08/09/2024: Relaxed and classy intimate cafe in Galerie Vivienne. We sat her twice for Petit-Dejeuner and had lovely coffee, croissants and scrambled eggs. Beautiful setting and the cakes were very tempting.
31/07/2024: This is a must-see place not to be missed if you are in the area. Everything is homemade, and you can feel it in every bite! The ice creams, pastries, quiches and croques-monsieur... everything is divine, you will finally rediscover the true taste of food. The servers, worthy of their establishment, are distinguished by their elegance, friendliness and efficiency. I had the pleasure of chatting with one of them, Jules, who is also the manager of the salon. He shared with me a multitude of fascinating anecdotes about the gallery and its surroundings. In short, if you want to spend a pleasant time in the heart of the gallery, don't hesitate, you will know exactly where to go! THANKS !
