Le Relais du Cotentin sur Bricquebec

11/05/2026: A very beautiful medieval hotel with a stunning facade and a magnificent location in the castle courtyard. Unfortunately, the service is just like the castle itself: medieval! The service is minimalist... you even have to ask for toilet paper. But the worst part is the price of breakfast, which is clearly exorbitant: no choice (croissants for five days straight and nothing else), supermarket tea from E. Leclerc (I have better at home), no fruit, etc. The tablecloths aren't changed after you leave, and the next day you find the crumbs from the previous day's breakfast. To be thorough, the rooms are dated, as is the bathroom, but the bedding is comfortable and the hotel is quiet. In short, this hotel isn't something to avoid as I've read, but I advise against staying more than one night or having breakfast there. And as for the restaurant, I don't recommend it if you enjoy good food. It's not great, and the service is extremely slow even when it's not busy. And finally, I agree with the comments from other dissatisfied customers, but not with the hotel manager's responses, which are clearly disingenuous. It's a shame because there's real potential. The manager should take the feedback into account instead of accusing dissatisfied customers of lying. Personally, I wouldn't have spent so much time writing this review if all of this weren't true.

11/05/2026: Establishment closed for holidays. Good evening, a little politeness wouldn't hurt. I made a mistake; I rated the setting, the park. Not your restaurant or your hotel. Too bad. Please don't see this as an attack; others have done that. However, you could have looked into why I rated something I don't know. I will be more vigilant. Perhaps in exchange for a little tolerance.
