17/03/2024: Frequented many times before confinement, I have always appreciated this establishment for its cuisine and its conviviality. My flagship dish, Angus, tender and oozy, my wife's, octopus, cooked to perfection. We returned there in July this year with a couple of friends to introduce them to this nice restaurant. What a desappointment!!!! My Angus, a disaster: firm, tasteless, overcooked. The octopus, same fight, rubbery and tasteless. In short, I don't know if there was a change of chef in the kitchen or suppliers but the quality is no longer there! Too bad, because there aren't many good restaurants in the area. For us, finished, we will look elsewhere. Two stars all the same for the glorious past...
I am revising my evaluation following a dinner several years after my difficult experience in 2020. Well I must say that the establishment has rectified the situation brilliantly. I found everything I appreciated in the past, the right cuisine, a friendly welcome, the most jovial atmosphere. To be continued....

Since my post of January 23, I go back regularly since it is near my house. The lunch menu at 21 euros starter, main course, dessert is of a very good standard and is always fresh.
We finally tested the “king” dish on the menu (the evening menu only): Philippe Jacq-style veal sweetbreads.
It's a pure marvel, made to order, it gives you time to share a strataciella over a good drink, laughs
are lightly breaded accompanied by a "little" (for its delicious and cute side) veal jus.
Washed down with an exceptionally good grand cru Riesling from Alsace. Unforgettable. Long live sweetbreads! 😃
January 23: The pleasant surprise of the year in the Avron district!

Traditional and original cuisine (made just right) with love in it. The chef is an epicurean and you can feel it on the plate. A very rich wine list by the glass (which is rare) and let yourself be carried away by the tasty advice of the establishment's waitress-sommelier.
Fresh products. A card renewed very often.
Impeccable service.
Sublime sweetbreads.
All this for a very competitive price which gives you the combo of death: starter+main course+dessert+2 glasses of wine+the house liqueur (rhubarb, killer) 50 euros!
