Excellent local cuisine in Périgueux. I tried a trapiflette d'Echourgnac with a hint of walnut liqueur. It was simply incredible.

For local products, this is the right place. A beautiful Gascon platter, well presented, the waiter is efficient and discreet. Everything seems perfect if you don't order the dessert, which is practically a rip-off: a third of a slice of walnut cake, three tiny slices of some kind of cake. Frankly, it would be more sensible to offer nothing at all, or at least serve decent portions instead of these tiny morsels... a shame.

The service was far too slow (2 hours and 30 minutes for lunch?!?!?) The Périgord-style sauerkraut was more like confit with cabbage than sauerkraut (dried cabbage and gizzards). My companions enjoyed their meals.

Traditional Périgord cuisine that honors this beautiful region renowned for its gastronomy. The menu is varied, and it's hard to choose; everything is tempting. You'll have to go several times to taste everything. The atmosphere is warm. The server and chef are very professional and friendly.

A wonderful surprise. There's no shortage of typical restaurants serving local cuisine in Périgueux, but the Relais Périgourdin is one of them. We're close to the cathedral, on a pedestrian street, so it's quiet, with no passing traffic. The cuisine is simple but effective, using local produce. The service is efficient, fast, and of high quality, with a smile and good advice. In short, a pleasant and friendly experience. I recommend this restaurant.

14/02/2026: A friendly, welcoming atmosphere, attentive service, imagination and creativity in the composition of the dishes, with innovative yet balanced and never unusual flavor combinations, and clearly mastered culinary techniques. The desserts are exquisite, being only slightly sweet. The experience always lives up to expectations, and the price is reasonable considering the quality of the food.
20/12/2025: Just thank you, we had an incredible evening as a family with our children, it was simply superb, what a welcome, what cuisine, bravo to the chef and what humor and friendliness from the owner, I recommend it for many reasons.

20/02/2026: A delightful surprise awaited us at this restaurant, where you can savor regional dishes while also avoiding the usual traditional fare. A €22 set menu is offered at lunchtime, but we preferred to explore the à la carte menu. We started with stuffed neck, followed by sweetbreads and pan-fried chateaubriand. The flavors were spot on, with tender, flavorful meat and perfectly cooked sweetbreads. The service was very professional and friendly, with an equally so waiter.
17/02/2026: Hello. While passing through Périgueux, we discovered this wonderful place. Everything was perfect; we celebrated Valentine's Day early in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
