We spent one night at the Campanille hotel in Montluçon on our way down to the south of France. The welcome was friendly, and the rooms were clean. We had an unpleasant surprise upon departure, as the hotel charged us an additional fee (not much) that wasn't mentioned when we arrived. The breakfast is plentiful and offers a good selection!

The welcome was adequate. The buffet had limited choices for starters, but the à la carte dishes were good. Breakfast was decent. The room was fine.

24/02/2026: Excellent roadside rest stop, _ Grocery store with all kinds of products, Spacious restaurant, Large bar, Area to relax or have a snack without going into the restaurant, snacks, hot meals, pastries, cakes... Several meal options available, _ Very clean restrooms and showers, _ Very friendly staff, _ Beautifully decorated place, great atmosphere, TV, Hi-Fi, A great place to take a break while driving. Perfect!
23/02/2026: They have. First plate & dessert They have. First plate & main course. But they don’t have Main course & dessert. 🤦‍♂️ I am a truck driver & a lot of my trucking buddies don’t come eat here because of that. Sometimes you just want the main course with dessert but unfortunately they don’t have that combo. And that is why a lot of truckers do eat here for that same simple reason. Well I guess it’s they’re lost 😞
