I first learned about Xarnegu some time ago through the novel "The Smile of Magdalene," which includes some scenes set in this charming village of Bidache. I finally went back, and today I returned during the Santiago Festival. I loved it and highly recommend it! I'll be back. Thank you.

Everything is great, the owners are very friendly and helpful. Remember to book ahead as it gets very busy at lunchtime.

A very good, hearty lunch with Landes salads and crème brûlée. The staff were friendly and pleasant, the dining room was a bit noisy but full when we arrived. I recommend it.
