Le Retour des Flobards sur Audresselles

Like another restaurant in the area, which I won't name, "Le Retour des Flobards" was an unmissable annual stop from my earliest childhood. A tradition I revived a few years ago after the Boulogne Urban Trail, sitting down there in the last of my usable (and dry) sportswear after a memorable selfie where we were surprised by a beautiful, large wave... 🌊 It's all in the name: home-style cooking with seafood! Here, there's no fuss: you're welcomed like family, it's a family affair, and you won't be disappointed! The menu is well-rounded without being overwhelming, and for many items, it depends on the season and availability, which confirms the freshness of the ingredients, much to the delight of our taste buds! The dishes are generous and flavorful, and the pace allows you to enjoy everything without feeling rushed. In the end, despite an aperitif, wine to accompany the meal, and two set menus (not forgetting the one for my 11-year-old), the bill turned out to be more than reasonable! The rustic setting will bring back memories for those who, like me, frequented it in their youth. The staff is friendly and helpful without being intrusive, and the family atmosphere is evident. We will gladly recommend stopping by again on our next visit, which I hope will be soon!

Excellent mussels and fries, fast service, and the "young waitress" was very cheerful and friendly. A real pleasure.

Despite the large crowd—it was the lunchtime rush—we received a courteous welcome and very pleasant service. The meal was truly excellent, as was the dessert. Kudos to the ladies who handled everything with smiles and kindness. We'll definitely be back.

We had lunch there yesterday at noon. We were the first to place our order, and then... 🤔... there's a lack of organization, even though I know that the restaurant business isn't as easy as it looks. One waitress told people who had come to eat, "We're not taking any more," and another said that people could sit down. 🤔 When it's full, it's full, and when it's past the peak time, they stop taking orders. When there are too many customers, the quality of service suffers. A waitress left her dishcloth and tray while she was cleaning a table to take an order, and everything was left there. When we left, it was still in the same place. 🤔 A waitress's lack of politeness—being too familiar—was both shocking and amusing. I like a friendly atmosphere, but a customer is a customer, not a friend! The food was good, but the service was too slow. We arrived at noon and left at 2:30 PM. We felt forgotten, constantly being told "I'll take your order" and "I'll be back in a moment." It's a shame. I recommend it for the food and the helpfulness of the two waitresses. We'll come back and try it again.

Very tasty and pleasant atmosphere.

A must-try! The grilled lobster is a delight, the mussels are delicious, and the cooking technique is both expert and creative! The setting is typical of the Opal Coast, and the service is impeccable! Go without hesitation! For lobster, we recommend mentioning it when making your reservation.

We had mussels and fries there. The restaurant was full, but the service was impeccable despite the crowd. The young woman always kept a smile and remained calm. A very good place.

Without a doubt my best mussels and fries experience, those with Fleur d'Audresselles, a local cheese. A small, simple but warm restaurant, run entirely by friendly ladies, not to mention the magnificent waitress, with her irresistible charm, who took care of us!
