What a find! RIO offers Bokits, Caribbean-style sandwiches, served with sweet potato fries and salad, for a really reasonable price. The Chien sauce, described as very spicy, is perfectly tolerable, no worries ;)

An exceptional place. I felt right at home as soon as I walked in. The decor is tasteful, Caribbean style, not too cluttered; the music (a delight to my ears, Christmas carols to enjoy while eating in a pleasant atmosphere, and the volume was just right). The bokits are delicious, generous portions that really fill you up. The sweet potato fries were also good.

The bokits, the brunches, the rums, the desserts... everything is delicious! I keep going back with great pleasure!

We had a great time at this restaurant despite its small size (we were a large table). We found the decor a bit cluttered, which made it slightly cramped given the limited space to move around, but it was still very charming and quite immersive. The food was excellent, but we felt the prices were a bit high. It was still a lovely experience, though.

One rainy Sunday evening, we walked through the door of this restaurant. It brightened up our evening and took us back to Brittany. A real treat! The accras, the bokits, and the cocktails. I highly recommend it.

Intrigued with Guadeloupean cuisine which is unheard of in Manchester, we went there for dinner where food service starts from 7pm. We ordered Gwada (chicken) Bokit and Pointe à pitre (fish) Bokit. Food and drinks came at reasonable time. The Bokits had generous filling and were served with sweet potato chips and side salad. Overall flavours were subtle but after adding their homemade sauce chien (Créole sauce), it lifted and brought out the flavours more. The staff were friendly and were patient with me when ordering in French. I liked the décor of the place; nothing fancy but I could feel the Carribbean vibe from the photos and posters. Highly recommend this place to try a new cuisine as well as experiencing the Caribbean vibe in Nantes.
