Le Sapey sur Les Deserts

We arrived as they had stopped service... Oh no! 4 of us, starving ladies "of a certain age", one of them not very mobile (me!), not looking forward to turning around and look elsewhere. Thankfully, the very charming young man serving said that he would fit us in quickly. Quickly, à la Française, seldom is. 😁 2 of us had the apéritif maison, that was delicious, a very dry local Crémant and raspberry liqueur mix. 2 ladies chose the plat du jour, which was a grilled chicken skewer with chips and house salad, at a very reasonable €16.50, considering the size of it! My friends thought this was one of the tastiest chicken they'd ever had?! My sister and I both went for the burger, with one steak haché patty; you can choose to have 2, more expensive then, but you'd better bring a big appetite, because they're huge! I am glad we listened to his advice and opted for the one, we struggled to finish them! I usually avoid burgers like the plague, but this is in a different league altogether. That of course didn't deter us from having dessert, lol. My friends went with the plat du jour choice, a lovely panacotta (all home made!), my sister chose a Chartreuse and Génépi ice-cream, and I picked a vacherin portion, that was enormous! It was blueberry and vanilla-flavoured, and absolutely delicious. All in, the bill came to €20 each for the friends, including a drink each; for my sister and me, €35 each, but that was including our apéritifs, plus a cheeky glass of red wine. Total bill for 4 , €110 or so, and we came out stuffed to the gills, and full of praise for the gentleman who served us "quickly", lol . He doesn't know it yet, but, as we're flying home tomorrow and we have hours to kill before the flight, we'll be going to lunch tomorrow! 😁😁😁 Hoping to try a proper fondue savoyarde before heading back to Blighty!

We had a group meal on the terrace a few weeks ago under a magnificent sun. Thank you to Sylvain and his entire team for their warm welcome and helpfulness. Beautifully presented dishes and friendly service. I highly recommend it.

An excellent restaurant! The fondue was delicious and the genepi crème brûlée was absolutely incredible. Special mention to the entire team, who were smiling, welcoming, and attentive throughout the meal. The warm service was truly delightful. We will definitely be back! Karine and Hervé

We booked the pub for a private birthday party. Everything was perfect, thank you to the whole team, who were attentive to our requests and whose evening went off without a hitch!

Thanks to Sylvain, we had a fantastic evening at this venue, which can be booked for private events. A former nightclub, perfectly renovated, it brought back memories for some of us. Everything is there for a great party. The bar with service is a real bonus and makes the evening very comfortable. The decor, games, sound system, and lighting are all designed for fun and to make the most of the moment. From 7 pm to 2 am, the time flew by. It's an ideal place to organize a private event with friends or family, and we highly recommend it. Thank you, Sylvain, for your warm welcome and availability.

Catering was requested for an event for 50 people with a buffet and drinks; everything was excellent, both the service and the quality of the food. Top-notch!
