Le Sardaigne sur Epernay

Passing through Epernay, I made a stop without much enthusiasm, but what a great find! I wasn't disappointed; the food was excellent. If you're ever in the area, don't hesitate!

Food was okay, it was the only restaurant taking walk ins, so couldve been alot worse. Service was okay with the language barrier (we apologies for that as brits we need to learn other languages) Was off putting watching the pizza makers have their bare chest out making pizzas with chest hair on show.

Perfect! A meal for gourmets and food lovers, a very pleasant and discreet waiter, highly professional. We will definitely return.

Authentic Italian cuisine. A real treat!

Took a long time to order food and get the food. The pizza was decent, a little soft bottom but good taste. Waiter forgot drink order along the way. Lots of people, probably a popular place.

We enjoyed two evening meals here with a group of friends. Food was good home style cooking with good ingredients and good portion sizes. Reasonable prices. Would visit again. Younger staff members could do with some better training on good customer service.

Reserved in advance and indeed, it suddenly filled up, despite a large terrace. I understand that a restaurant wants to maximize revenue, but it would be nice if you could finish your pre-dinner drink beforehand. But here too, the starter and "aperitif" were served simultaneously. The starter was okay, but certainly not great. Cleared the table and presto... main course on the table. (I'm still eating my Campari). The main course was also okay, but certainly not fantastic. A salad; plenty of it, but a "mess" on the plate. I decided to skip dessert. I do want to mention, however, that the young waiter did his utmost to help everyone on the terrace. A second employee would have been seriously appropriate. In the meantime, I also received an email from the restaurant stating that we did not show up for our reservation. Uhhhhh??? I really did leave almost 100 euros behind for the food. Is it bad? No. Can it be better? Absolutely. Will I come back again? No!

It was ok for a mediocre italian in France. Pizza was good, base was a little undercooked and doughy but tasty. Don't order the snails unless you want a pot of them off the shell in a creamy tomato soup that isn't piping hot. Grilled lamb chops were cooked perfectly but came with a plain mash potato and creamy garlic sauce lacking flavour. Grilled eggs were the best thing on the menu. Nice atmosphere but im sure theres nicer places to eat for the money (€40 per head).
