Le Savoyard sur Chambery

On holiday in Savoie, we absolutely had to try their excellent Savoyard fondue. The meal was impeccable, the waiter was incredibly efficient, friendly, smiling, and professional. The food was absolutely delicious and plentiful. A huge bonus: they even allow dogs in the dining room! 😍

First time at this restaurant. Perfect welcome. The servers were attentive. The Savoyard fondue was very good and generous. The pavlova was delicious. I will definitely return.

Overall good, just the fondue bread was very old and the waiter smelled of sweat...

Uninteresting pork medallion, rancid asparagus, sticky gnocchi. And I almost forgot the stale bread... I rarely leave reviews, but I truly regret coming here. (Lunch service)

We had a really lovely lunch at Le Savoyard in Chambéry and went for the menu du jour, which turned out to be a great choice. It started with a simple salad topped with warm goat cheese toast—fresh and very tasty. The hake was beautifully cooked, served with a light, delicate sauce and a nice mix of vegetables, including artichoke hearts. Everything felt well balanced and thoughtfully prepared. Dessert was a baked apple with applesauce and crumble—nothing complicated, just really good and comforting. Service was impeccable—friendly, attentive, and easygoing without being over the top. With a glass of wine, the total was just under €45 for two, which felt more than fair for the quality. Definitely recommend if you’re in Chambéry—we’d happily go back.
