Le Sawa sur Paris

We ate several appetizers, main courses, and drinks, and everything was absolutely delicious. A real treat! People who criticize Sawa are truly strange. From the selection of flavors we chose, we enjoyed every single one.

🙏 I highly recommend you come and discover LE SAWA with your most discerning taste buds, this tiny Parisian restaurant just steps from the beautiful church of Alésia, because it's a true little gem of African gastronomy ⭐️👍 I'm a true Frenchman, a real foodie, and a restaurant owner myself, but in a Breton crêperie in Morbihan. In short, as a good chef who respects himself, I love discovering new things, and since I don't come to Paris often, this is the third time I've dined there with family and friends in at least 10 years!!! INCREDIBLE!!!!: NOTHING HAS CHANGED FOR THE GOOD, THANKFULLY, AND THAT'S SO RARE!! You can go there with your eyes closed because: ALL THE DISHES AND DRINKS ARE VERY GOOD OR AT LEAST VERY GOOD, and I think we tried more than half the menu!! With a truly authentic taste, mostly from Cameroon 🇨🇲, very refined and well-presented, well-cooked, generous portions, varied, and delicious at times, all with a truly good chef at the helm and a lovely owner. The only downside: The waiter today, both on the phone for reservations and in the dining room for service, is in full African mode, which is fine... but what I mean is, WOW, it's hard to make yourself understood by him, and also to understand him with his accent and his low blood pressure when taking our orders!!! On the other hand, he's incredibly kind and never forgets anything, plus he serves quite quickly! So, ENJOY YOUR MEAL with all that, AND ABOVE ALL, treat yourself, especially considering the very good value for money!! It would be a real shame to miss out on this lovely little discovery, which is a refreshing change from everything else you can find to eat everywhere!

Honestly, when you read some of the comments, you realize there are some real haters on these sites. The braised fish is delicious, the portions are enormous. The service is attentive. A very good place.

We placed our group order in advance of our ceremony. And in the end, everything was fine. The portions were satisfactory. We even created the atmosphere ourselves. However, the ventilation needs improvement.

I got a chicken Mafé to go. Delicious!!! Well done, I'll be back.

As I reported after the meal, but unfortunately not to the manager - hence the reason for this review - what was offered turned out to be plentiful, inexpensive, and succulent, EXCEPT for the SAWA salad: 15 euros for three green salad leaves dueling, three corn kernels playing hide-and-seek, and a shred of chicken that had to be looked for under a microscope. While another starter at 7 euros consisted of delicious pasteles - a kind of beef ravioli - and enough to satisfy Gargantua. So I wonder why there is such a dichotomy, such a disparity, between the dishes offered... I would like to have an answer from a MANAGER and not from a simple employee who has no decision-making power. But in any case, the "salad" which is salad only in name, deserves a readjustment. In short, this restaurant is worth the detour, but above all, avoid the SAWA salad...

The restaurant was very welcoming. We enjoyed a quality meal and, above all, food with authentic flavors. I highly recommend this restaurant for those who want to eat African food without having to fly, and especially at a very affordable price.
