Le Sequin sur Cherbourg-Octeville

For our first visit, we received a very warm welcome and were served with grace and elegance by our waiter. I highly recommend it; it's possible to book in advance, as the restaurant might be full. Enjoy discovering the menu; grab your knives and forks to awaken your taste buds!

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Thank you to Chloé and Arthur for their kindness and excellent service. The restaurant was very clean and quiet, and the food was of good quality. We will definitely return.

We were very disappointed by this restaurant where we dined on Friday evening. We ordered two €36 set menus and chose our courses using the tablet provided. The photos of the dishes were mouthwatering, kudos to the photographer! The reality was less impressive. One of the starters we chose was the glazed octopus, which was quite good, but the portion was far too small. For my main course, I opted for the sole fillet with meunière sauce. A huge disappointment: on my plate, a sort of rosette of sole fillet (I couldn't find the taste or texture of fresh sole at all...), a rosette placed on a watery carrot purée garnished with two mini zucchini and a small steamed leek. Everything was very bland, completely tasteless, and above all, without the promised meunière sauce. A cafeteria-style dish, not living up to the promises of this establishment. The waiter noticed I was leaving my plate almost untouched and, after consulting with the kitchen, offered to serve me another dish... which I declined since it was dessert time for my partner. Annoyed, he then offered us two glasses of champagne, well aware of our disappointment. A very real disappointment, it spoiled our evening.

Excellent place, great food, top-notch waitresses and chef, very reasonable prices. It's a shame this restaurant isn't more well-known.

The drinks ordered for the main course arrived in the middle of the meal and were practically thrown on the table. And some people had already paid for their main course or the €10 reservation fee... So there was chaos with the payment because the servers hadn't been informed...

A lovely, sumptuous restaurant with friendly staff. And with the casino on top of that, it's the perfect place for a great evening. I highly recommend it if you're looking for something to do on a Saturday night (or any other day).

We were a group of nine adults on Friday attending the Lycée Millet concert, so the dining hall was very crowded. It wasn't easy serving customers while taking orders for aperitifs and hot plates amidst the standing crowd. Kudos to the staff who remained attentive to the customers. The royal roll was very, very good, as was the fish. The dessert, however, was less impressive; it didn't really live up to the advertised flavor, which had initially appealed to me.

The scallop appetizer turned out to be three tasteless frozen scallops hidden under an ink-based tuile (€17 à la carte...). The mashed potatoes were completely flavorless, a side dish common to all the main courses except the fish. Avoid at all costs...
