Le Sequoia sur La Chaussee-D'Ivry

Located at least an hour from Paris, this is the only course I know where a golf cart is mandatory. It must also be one of the few on the outskirts of Paris that wasn't scorched by the successive heatwaves this summer, thanks to its abundant water features (in fact, even the trees were unaffected). Water hazards will be your biggest challenge on this course, as the fairways are mostly wide and the terrain isn't too hilly. Allow over 5 hours to complete the 18 holes... perhaps less for a two-player round, provided you don't wait for the players in the previous group to advance. It's a truly interesting course for an experienced golfer, but don't go if your swing distances are too short off the yellow tees. The slightest miscalculation will cost you a ball on many tee shots and approaches. I paid €70 for a Thursday morning tee time, but it was worth it considering the excellent maintenance.

Initially, I was surprised by the somewhat dated appearance of the common areas, but pleasantly surprised by the comfort of the room and the new amenities (double-glazed windows, shower, radiators, toilet, etc.). Just a minor drawback: the refrigerator (no mini bottles or ice cubes) and perhaps the lack of a kettle for tea lovers. The coffee machine and coffee were excellent, as were the breakfasts. The staff was very welcoming. The hotel is very well located near a beautiful park and its golf course.

We had a great family meal for our daughter's birthday the day before yesterday, and we came back with friends for lunch today. Both times we weren't disappointed at all; the food was very good and reasonably priced (except for the mojito, which we hadn't noticed the price of, but it definitely added up on the bill!). And the introductory session on the driving range on Sunday should be great!

The beauty of this course lives up to its reputation! Its diverse tree species, numerous water features, and technical layout contribute to its splendor. The course is well-maintained. All the conditions are in place to guarantee an enjoyable round every time.

A very beautiful golf course. A bit challenging. Holes are far apart, so golf carts are essential. Friendly welcome. Bunkers in poor condition.

The restaurant is in a calm and relaxing setting. The service is impeccable and the staff very welcoming. The dishes are beautifully presented, generous, and delicious.

We've been coming regularly for over 10 years; the course is very fun, varied, and has plenty of water. The greens and fairways are well-maintained, though the overall upkeep is a bit average, something we've noticed year after year. The bunkers, surrounding area, and the restaurant are also a bit of a letdown... a shame, but we'll be back.

Really gorgeous rooms, the parquet floor make a bit of noise when you walk but the dimensions of the rooms make up to this problem. The bathroom is huge with an immense shower. The breakfast is a bit poor and the staff doesn’t speak English properly but they are still very nice

With the greens restored to excellent condition, the experience is fantastic because the landscape, hilly and dotted with beautiful trees, is superb and the team is welcoming.
