A few years ago we came across the restaurant by chance as the honey shop next door was still closed and we had to pass time and we were not disappointed! Food great, service and staff great. The ambience is also inviting. Since then we have eaten at el Silex once every year :).

Very good address just opposite the Tautavel prehistoric museum. The dishes are good, using fresh and local produce, and the wine is even produced directly in Tautavel! A must do if you're in the area. The service is also very pleasant and the setting is friendly.

A real restaurant! Everything is perfect (and I find that this is increasingly rare): delicious food, very nice setting and atmosphere and impeccable service. Oh, just one little thing: the ice cubes in the Muscat aperitif. But not being from the region, maybe this is done here? Well, really no big deal.

Instant parfait dans un cadre très agréable, sur une belle terrasse ombragée ! Une petite carte, simple mais efficace, car ce sont que des produits frais, de saison et locaux. Nous sommes des épicuriens et nous avons adoré le repas, c'était excellent en goût et en présentation. Toutes les assiettes sont reparties vides, c'est pour dire ! De l'entrée au dessert, c'etait un vrai plaisir gustatif !L'équipe est souriante et agréable et de bon conseil ! Ci-joint, 2 photos de nos entrées. Nous recommandons sans hésitation ce lieu, qui est à l'opposé des restos attrapes touristes ! Merci à vous ! La petite famille du bassin d'Arcachon 🙂

07/09/2024: We stopped by chance yesterday at this inn and did not regret it, everything is PERFECT: generous and delicious dishes and for my part I let myself be tempted by the soft chestnut after having hesitated to have a dessert and, frankly , it would have been a crime not to eat it, a real delight, I almost regret having allowed my husband to take some from me ;-) The chef comes as soon as he can to see if everything is going well good and talk with those who wish and his lady at the service is very smiling and friendly. A great experience, we recommend!!! Good luck to you both, here or on your island!!
05/09/2024: Tautavel est célèbre pour son "homme" et si vous visitez le musée, profitez-en pour déjeuner à L'Etape. L'accueil est chaleureux, la cuisine est simple mais bonne (excellente et copieuse assiette Catalane avec frites vraiment maison) et les prix sont doux. Que demander de plus ? Bravo !

23/08/2024: Unbeatable value for money, good and plentiful for a reasonable price. The decor is ordinary but the staff are charming. To recommend.
21/08/2024: Very nice discovery with key regional products. We will come back with pleasure. Just remember to make sure to thank my client when they leave.... We didn't see anyone at that time I imagine you must be busy but it's important for the client, our guests made us think .
