A great experience eating at Le Sloop. We were greeted with a friendly smile. We hadn’t reserved, but I would suggest making a reservation if you prefer eating later into the evening. The service was amazing, we opted for the lamb shank and steak, both cook to perfection. We will return to sample the other options on the menu.

We spontaneously decided to visit La Ciotat and were looking for a place to have dinner. The menu at Sloop appealed to us, and that's how we ended up there. The service seemed a bit distracted at times, which might have been due to the intense heat. However, the food and atmosphere were definitely impressive!

We were greeted and seated on the terrace by a charming young woman. Despite the intense heat, she brought us a carafe of chilled water with a slice of lemon. A simple but very welcome touch during this heatwave. Then, a very friendly and professional waitress presented us with the menu and recommended an excellent white wine. The bottle was opened in front of us, and we were able to taste it before our meal. It was perfectly chilled and delicious. We chose the €38 set menu. For starters, panisses (chicken fritters) and breaded shrimp. For the main course, shredded lamb shank with mashed potatoes and ratatouille-style vegetables. For dessert, chocolate cake on a bed of crème anglaise. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal from start to finish. The ingredients were fresh, the dishes flavorful, and the portions quite generous for a menu at this price. Having tried several restaurants on the port of La Ciotat, we can confidently say that this one is a sure bet. A big thank you to the waitress for her advice, kindness, and professionalism. We also really enjoyed our conversations with her. Best of luck to the whole team for the upcoming season. We will definitely be back.
