My sweetheart took me there for Valentine's Day. Wonderful atmosphere, delicious food, and we received a warm welcome. The staff is very friendly and welcoming; I highly recommend it.

A wonderful discovery during our visit to La Baule! 😍 The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, with a special mention for the sea bass fillet with its butter sauce… a true delight! 🐟✨ A young, dynamic, and friendly team that truly deserves to be supported. I wholeheartedly recommend Surcouf. It's a sure bet on Avenue Lajarrige, where we go every summer. The dishes and starters are fresh and delicious: homemade foie gras, gravlax salmon, sea bass with beurre blanc sauce, beef tartare, kidneys, etc. Everything was excellent, and our table of six was thrilled. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! The desserts are also very good. There's a good wine selection, and the service is friendly and professional. In short, nothing but positives!

I'm from Paris, and when I come to La Baule twice a year for two weeks each time, I always have lunch at Le Surcouf, and have done so for years. The food is excellent, and the owners are lovely and very attentive to their customers. The foie gras, in particular, is superb, and the prawns, scallops, or sea bass fillet with beurre blanc sauce are all delicious. I highly recommend it.

04/09/2026: A lovely place with a very warm welcome. The galette with scallops was very generous, with 5 scallops. No complaints whatsoever.
25/08/2026: Having been there twice during our week-long stay, we have absolutely no complaints... Both the galette and the tagliatelle were excellent. A huge thumbs up for the waiter's warm smile, which means so much to us. All the best to you, and who knows... maybe see you next year! 😊
