Absolutely fantastic! From start to finish, a 5/5 delight: a warm and friendly welcome, delicious dishes and desserts, and excellent service! We discovered this restaurant by chance while passing through the region for lunch, and we wholeheartedly recommend it!

Lunch break on the road between Auvergne and Charente-Maritime. Warm welcome, pleasant shaded terrace, simple yet very tasty cuisine. Excellent spot, just a few meters from the medieval town center

Passing through for the holidays, we found this restaurant with great online reviews: and it certainly deserves them! The service was welcoming, friendly, and quick! We ate on the terrace after making a reservation, and the portions were delicious and generous (two main courses and two children's menus). We'll definitely know where to stop when we get back from our holidays! 😁🌴

We booked at the last minute and yet we were warmly welcomed. We had various dishes (a hamburger with extra-large and generous Saint-Nectaire cheese, a platter with country ham and truffade, also a treat, and mussels with blue cheese, also very good) then the desserts, all equally excellent (crème brûlée and coconut and chocolate tart). I highly recommend it.

The tartare is magnificent, and with the horseradish (wasabi) sauce it's exceptional. The Affligem beer is served in the typical conical glass at the perfect temperature. The desserts are spectacular; the crème brûlée is divine, as is the panna cotta. Highly recommended.

A friendly and welcoming brasserie. The menu, especially at the beginning of the week, isn't very extensive, but perhaps that's a good thing. The dishes are fairly classic (sausages, turkey ham, fries, lentils, etc.) and the staff are very friendly and attentive. A good place to eat in Ussel.

14/09/2026: I had a few beers with two really nice guys, the man behind the bar was super friendly and a true proprietor, the kind you don't see anymore (a bald man, I can't remember his name, sorry). I was just passing through to look at some houses in the area. We're arriving in the region at the end of October, but I'll definitely be back. Great atmosphere, no pressure, great music. An "old-school" bar, but the kind of bar you want to last forever because they're the best, actually!
17/08/2026: I rarely leave reviews unless something is really great...and that's the case here, a lovely atmosphere, good music, and super friendly staff!!
