Le Taj Mahal sur Niort

An institution ! I have been in Niort for more than 10 years and the cuisine at Taj Mahal rue basse remains my favorite. Its fish korma with obviously the famous cheese naan, a treat. The sauce has taste, flavors. Whether to take away or eat in with friends, the welcome is top notch! Thanks to the sympathy of the boss which remains intact over the years. And unrivaled value for money! I sincerely recommend!!!

Lunch menu: well-proportioned and excellent meal. A very good time shared with available and pleasant staff. To do again.

My first Indian restaurant, a taste marvel! Everything was perfect. We'll come back!

Small, very friendly and affordable restaurant with a substantial menu (lunch menu for €12 with starter, main course and dessert / discovery formula of several starters and main courses with a dessert for €17). Welcoming and discreet staff. Nice Indian decor. We enjoyed everything, particularly the starters (vegetable fritters) and the dessert (homemade kessari): a great discovery during the trip! We were even offered a small appetizer before the starter, allowing us to taste several very different Indian sauces.

A calm and relaxed atmosphere. A small restaurant in a pedestrian street 5 minutes from a large car park. Parking is paid but not very expensive. The restaurant is nicely decorated. Inside we find the atmosphere of India. The waiters took care of us straight away and served us quite quickly. It is better to book because even in the middle of the week the restaurant was full. The meal was very good, for those who like curry, I recommend the curry shrimp. Their sauces are delicious, as are their different names. We'll come back ☺️

As always, very well received, the dishes are excellent, good value for money. I highly recommend.

Les plats sont goûtus, le service et le restaurant sympathiques. Il peut y avoir quelques ratés mais il suffit de demander pour rectifier. La salle est un peu bruyante quand elle est pleine (un samedi soir pour nous) mais au global, on y passe un moment agréable ! Merci.
